Like so many others, our lives have been shaped by migration. Our families migrated to the US and Argentina to escape poverty and violence in the beginning of the last century. More recently, Gabi moved from Buenos Aires to Chicago in 2011, where we lived in a thriving community of immigrants. And now we are migrating again, together, back to Argentina.

We recognize that we are the lucky ones. Our travels have been easy. Most migrants today are still escaping violence and poverty, and most are taking incredible risks to transform their families’ lives. As we undertake our own more privileged migration, we want to do something to honor and support those far more brave and disadvantaged migrants.

So, we are selling prints, wall-hangings, magnets and mugs with our favorite photographs from our journey here (click the green "Buy Photos" tab and then in the next page, flip through the options by clicking "Change Product").

All of the proceeds will go to support the work of Al Otro Lado in Los Angeles and The Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project in Arizona. While the government increasingly criminalizes and dehumanizes migrants, organizations like Al Otro Lado and The Florence Project are fighting every day to support these vulnerable and brave dreamers.

We hope you’ll join us in supporting these organizations and end up with a photograph on your wall! For more photos and stories from our journey, follow us at www.chicagochivilcoy.com and on Instagram.

With love,

Gabi and Noah
